About FTI Gallery
Finer Things Inc. Gallery is born from a collection of works that owner Sy Kover began assembling in the mid 70’s. A baby boomer with New York roots, Sy has a strong artistic background in the theater. He has always been plugged into the cultural trends and the goings on in the world. The collection started in Modern art and in the 80’s it morphed into pop culture and contemporary works and further grew in the 90’s to include the graffiti movement that is now the urban art movement. This is an ageless collection of works that would wow most collectors.
In the late eighties Sy started brokering deals and trading in and out of pieces. He followed technology: in the 80’s he sourced, sold and traded works from the classified ads from all of the major newspaper across the country and when the internet age took over he started brokering deals and establishing a network of dealers and collectors to source one of a kind works. After establishing an elaborate network of buyers and sellers the natural progression and perhaps a little overdue was the establishing of an Internet Gallery – FTIGALLERY.COM.
